Applications for PowerUp are underway! – a competition that turns start-ups into global companies
Applications for the fifth edition of PowerUp are still being accepted only until March 11!, of the largest competition for start-ups from 24 Central and Eastern European countries. This is the last moment to join the competition for a grand prize of €50,000 and funding of up to €150,000. Participation in the PowerUp! is also a unique opportunity to access InnoEnergy’s international network of business partners and develop business on a global scale.
Start-ups working on solutions for industry from such areas can applyow as energy, clean air technologies, mobility, heating, cleantech and smart technologies. InnoEnergy, the organizer of the competition, decided to further emphasize in this edition the importance of the topic of clean air, an important part of its activities. For the first time in the history of PowerUp! An additional special Clean Air Challenge Award will be given, o ktoThe award is open to start-ups that present products and services that contribute to reducing air pollution.

Bootcamps in the form of a series of training sessions and workshopsow is another stage of the competition for teamsow, ktore going through the application phase. Recognized European business mentors will prepare the participant’sow first to the finals scheduled for March and Apriloin the national and then to the finals of the głowny, whichory will take place on May 21 in Krakow during the Impact’19 – one of the most important economic events in Central and Eastern Europe.

The increasing prestige of the competition is evidenced by the fact that the teams entering the competition are increasingly also small and medium-sized enterprises, presenting a finished prototype or even a functioning product or service.
In last year’s Polish final, the winner was a smart building start-up: Indoorway, whichorego tool not only provides accurate object navigation and space mapping, but roalso optimize production lines and warehouse plan, or improve employee safetyow. Solato, in turn, is the winner of the national finals from two years agooch years, presenting a solution to optimize the operation of electric heating equipment in a smart grid.
